Setting up your landline personal alarm with a BT Home Hub

BT Skills
By the end of 2025 all analogue telephone lines will be replaced with digital lines. These will use the internet to carry telephone calls, similar to how services such as Skype and Zoom work. BT have called the switch from analogue to digital phone lines ‘Digital Voice’.

If you have an In-Home Classic Personal Alarm or In-Home Classic + Fall Alarm from Taking Care that connects to a telephone socket, it will rely on the current analogue telephone lines. When switched to a digital telelphone line, BT customers should receive a BT Smart Hub, which they will be able to plug their personal alarm into.

In this video we show you how to disconnect your personal alarm from the landline socket and plug it into a BT Home Hub.
