Using Google Tag Manager, we have an easy method to track every click as an event in Google Analytics. Outbound clicks have never been easier to find.

One important point I FAILED to make in the video is that you can create a conversion goal based on the events that go into your analytics. So if you want to create a goal for users who click an outbound link to YouTube.com, you can do that easily.

For instance, I’ll make specific goals for each of the outbound links that I have an affiliate commission on. That way I can assign value and track every click that has the potential to make me money.
