Google Drive’s Biggest Accessibility Issue for Blind Users | File Names Not Reading | Must Watch!

Google Learning
In this video, I discuss a major accessibility problem in Google Drive that’s affecting blind and visually impaired users. NVDA and JAWS screen readers are not reading file names in list view, instead only announcing “Section,” making it extremely difficult to navigate and manage files. Additionally, the Enter key is only selecting files rather than opening them, further complicating the use of Google Drive, Docs, Sheets, and related apps.

If you’re a screen reader user or know someone who is, this issue is critical to understand. I’m urging Google to address and fix this bug as soon as possible to improve accessibility for all users. Watch the video to learn more and join me in advocating for a solution.
