Swinburne Library’s Disability Interest Group (DIG) began its life in mid-1999 as a response to the need for a consistent approach to assisting and advocating for students and staff with disabilities at all campus libraries. Although the university (and the library) has undergone many changes, that
underlying commitment remains. Accessibility to required formats remains an issue, despite improvements in technology; supporting students both on and off campus another. Several restructures later, we review the recent streamlining of current processes that assist students with access to the library services they need, and look forward to discussing current processes in other tertiary libraries.
