How to Track Button Clicks with Google Tag Manager (in 5 mins)

Google TAG manager makes it very simple and easy to track button clicks.
This tutorial guides you step by step on how to track button clicks with GTM.

1. Create a Generic click trigger
2. Test to see how one click differs from another.
3. Update click trigger w.r.t. the button you want to track.
4. Add respective Tag and view it as Event in Google Analytics

It’s just that easy.

You can track any type of buttons eg:
– Add to Cart
– Form Submit
– Download buttons
– Free Product button
– Menu selections etc.
