How to track site search with Google Analytics 4 (and view reports)

Learn how to track site search with Google Analytics 4 (and no, having “Enhanced Measurement” enabled is not enough).

If your website offers a search feature, you absolutely must measure its usage with Google Analytics 4. Luckily, GA4 Enhanced Measurement offers automatic search tracking (by sending the event “view_search_results”). However, this data is still not easily visible in the Google Analytics reports.

So how can you see your site search data in Google Analytics 4 reports? In this video, I’ll show you how to do that. Also, I will share some additional tips related to site search tracking.
