YIFM Summer Camps are for young people to come and learn all about film making, teamwork, creativity, problem solving and a whole lot more. Young people will be guided through interactive workshops in all aspects of filmmaking. From writing the script to shooting the movie and creating their own director’s cut. At the end of this fun filled week they will attend their very own movie premiere where they can bring along their family and friends.

Young Irish Film Makers (YIFM) is a youth development organization, founded in 1991. The main aim of YIFM as a national youth arts organisation is develop young people’s personal and professional talents, skills and creativity. Delivery method of this aim is through the youth arts practice of film making and related digital media production.
YIFM works with over 1200 young people all over Ireland in schools, summer camps, after school workshops and also through The National Youth Film School. The heart of the organization is our digital film making and production studio where young people aged 9 to 25 years are empowered, through practical training programmes, to work with professional digital equipment to make films and digital media content.
