The EU Accessibility Directive became part of UK law earlier this year and has created a new set of digital accessibility requirements for public sector organisations, including universities and other HE Institutions. These are known as the Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) Accessibility Regulations 2018

This will apply to websites, apps and all aspects of the digital student and service users experience, such as Virtual Learning Environments.

Abi James and Adi Latif of AbilityNet will provide an overview of current public sector accessibility regulations and what they mean for the HE sector.
