In this talk, I will review recent technological advances in IoT, 5G and related areas, with a particular focus on the centrality of data. Data is an essential resource that powers the information economy in much the way that oil fueled the industrial economy – and that includes smart manufacturing.
Drawing on use cases from BT and elsewhere, I will exemplify some of the business benefits that IoT, 5G and smart manufacturing can deliver.
